History of ASTAR Air Cargo

ASTAR Air Cargo was named on July 14, 2003 when a U.S. investor group led by ASTAR Air Cargo Chairman and CEO John Dasburg purchased all of the outstanding shares of DHL Airways, Inc. DHL Airways, Inc. was founded in 1972 and has a 30 year record of providing reliable air cargo services.

Today ASTAR employs over 1,000 air freight professionals and provides air cargo charter services to 34 domestic and 9 international airports from ASTAR's hub in Cincinnati, OH. ASTAR's two largest customers are DHL Worldwide Express and the United States Air Force. ASTAR provides service for the Department of Defense currently to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Puerto Rico, and other military bases around the world. ASTAR also provided cargo airlift for the Department of Defense in support of the Iraqi conflict.
